All praise be to Allah, to whom we owe  a “pilgrimage to the house, whoever is able to find the way”1. Peace and blessings be upon his messenger Muhammad ﷺ who said “Umrah to ‘Umrah atones for the sins between them, and for Al-Hajj Al-Mabrur there is no reward except Paradise” 2.  And blessings be upon his companions who followed suit. Everything comes from Allah and to him we shall return. The pilgrimage to the house of Allah is a duty upon every Muslim. Remember Allah, and he will remember you in the hereafter. Labbaik Allaahumma bi‘Umrahti

Shaykh Saleem Dhorat explains in this treat size book the rituals of Umrah in a brief but comprehensive manner.  The title of the book is loyal to its content, as the author says:

‘This book contains all the necessary information regarding the method, rites and formalities of Umrah, with diagrams and sketches where appropriate. Insha’Allah, you will find in it answers to many of your questions’

The author writes the reason for writing this book was due to (Maulana) Haafiz Ismail persistency for the need of a short and comprehensive book on Umrah for English speakers. As a result, the author commenced the work in the name of Allah ta’aalaa.  The book breaks down the actions of Umrah from beginning to end. This book ensures to make Umrah simple and comprehendible, covering all necessary masaa’il. This book is a guidebook for those wishing to perform Umrah. The book is well put together as it incorporates a sketch of Masjid ul Haraam highlighting all necessary areas.  The author has also included key yet short masaa’il appropriately, educating the reader the stance for each arkaan (rite). There is also an addition of verses from the Quran as reference and Hadiths concluding each necessary rite.
